J.I. Case Reboilering Project
- COMPLETE
Many of the Museum's steam traction engines designated for demonstration
use have been decommissioned due to aging boilers which have not passed
safety inspections. The Museum chose its J. I. Case 12-36 horsepower
engine for the pilot project, the boiler being of a smaller class, and
therefore less expensive than one of the larger engines.
Indian
Motorcycle Restoration Project - COMPLETE
It all starts with an old piece of, well as they say, one person's
garbage is another person's treasure. You just have to have a vision. A
lot of research goes into restoration because the artifact has to be
fixed and recreated using the methods and materials of earlier days.
