WDM Lorne Avenue Construction Update  Business as Usual

About Boomtown

Saskatchewan boomed with economic activity from the turn of the century to 1914. Land-seekers flooded the west and towns grew almost overnight. 1910 Boomtown, the Western Development Museum's representation of a typical Saskatchewan town, captures the atmosphere and style of this bustling period. Over 30 buildings portray community life - from the general store overflowing with everything from nails to gingham, to the blacksmith shop ringing with the sound of the hammer striking the anvil. Transport yourself back to a time when the clip clop of horses filled the air. You don't just visit this museum, you live it!

Construction Update - Business as Usual
November 24, 2010

ConstructionIn spite of the closure of a portion of Lorne Avenue, it’s
BUSINESS AS USUAL at the Saskatoon WDM.

A portion of Lorne Avenue is now closed south of the WDM up to Melville Street. WDM customers will continue to have access to Lorne Avenue via Ruth Street.

Folks travelling northward on Lorne Avenue from south-rural Saskatoon and neighbouring communities will be able to detour at Melville Street to Jasper Avenue and back to Lorne Avenue to access the Saskatoon WDM at 2610 Lorne Avenue South.

We regret the traffic interruption, but welcome the development and completion of the Circle Drive South Bridge project.

For more information about the Circle Drive South Project, visit:
City of Saskatoon Circle Drive South Project Detour Map or Project Homepage.

Thank you to our visitors for your patience, understanding and continued loyalty!

The Saskatoon WDM is also home to the
Saskatchewan Agricultural Hall of Fame
