Experience Saskatchewan pioneer life at Pion-Era 2015
Steam vapours, gasoline fumes, chaff flying, horses whinnying ... all mingle to create an experience of pioneer prairie harvest each year at Pion-Era. Since 1954 the Saskatoon WDM has paid tribute to prairie roots with a host of lively activities at the annual Pion-Era show.
Don't miss these exciting attractions:
Display of tractors & stationary engines
Clay oven baking
Food booths & Grandma's Kitchen
Old-time telegraph station
Quilting & rug hooking
There's lots of fun under the big top, with games and activities that
grandma and grandpa (and their parents) played when they were young.
The WDM’s world famous steam and gas engines huff and puff at the Story of Threshing which showcases the march of farm power from human to horse, from steam to gas-powered machines, as golden sheaves are threshed into grain.
Witness the awesome power of operating steam and gas engines and early agricultural equipment.
The Saskatoon WDM invites those with antique tractors or stationery engines to display them during Pion-Era ’15. This is an opportunity for you to showcase your classic tractors and stationery engines.
