Let's Have Fun!

From fishing gear, to baseball gloves, to a Band Box, and a tent,
this exhibit showcases the best of Saskatchewan summers.

Hon. Kevin Doherty, Minister of Parks, Culture and Sport brings greetings on behalf of the Government of Saskatchewan at the Let's Have Fun Official OpeningIn a small exhibit like this, we could not possibly showcase every leisure-time pursuit of Saskatchewan people past and present. We combed through our collection to present a sampling of fun and games, past and present. Be sure to stop at the touchscreen that shows more than 100 photos of Saskatchewan fun.

Cabinet overflowing with leisure time artifacts
In a province with two very distinct seasons, winter and summer fun are very different. From skating to snowshoeing, tennis to tenting, we spend our downtime alone or with friends and family, indoors or outdoors, in sports or in cultural pursuits. In the 21st century, the Internet has opened a whole new world of gaming, connecting and learning.

Long prairie winters don't stop us from having fun. Saskatchewan is known for its winter activities, such as curling and skiiing.
And how many NHLers got their start on the local outdoor rink?

This exhibit is sponsored by Saskatchewan Blue Cross.
