The Saskatchewan Story - 1905-2005: Winning the Prairie Gamble

Introduction scene from Winning the Prairie Gamble Moose Jaw

Winning the Prairie Gamble:
The Saskatchewan Story!

Come to understand the heart-wrenching decisions made around the globe, to leave home for unknown Saskatchewan compelled by dreams of a better life. In the early years, the crossing was made by ship. The distance across Canada from port to prairie was travelled by train. More recently, it is planes that bring newcomers to Saskatchewan. What treasures do apprehensive immigrants tuck into their suitcases? Then, enter an authentic log house, built before the province was founded. The low ceiling, thick log walls and hard clay floor tell a story of hope and survival.

See Winning the Prairie Gamble exhibits in other WDM locations.
